Henrik Eckmann

I joined the Leicester Lifestyle and Health Research Group in October 2023 as a PhD fellow through the LABDA project. During my PhD I will work to advance methods of estimating physical activity volume and intensity, specifically focused on methods based on wearable accelerometry. I’ve studied an undergraduate degree in Physiotherapy and a MSc in Sports Science and Health, both in Denmark where I’ve grown up and lived until coming to Leicester. My main research interests lie in the intersection between health and data science. Other interests include exercise physiology, physiotherapy, and pain science.
