Alix Covenant
After my BSc in Exercise, Nutrition and Health, I worked as a Health Trainer for several years, in the community and on a clinical trial. I then did an MSc in Health Psychology and developed a fascination with sleep. I started my PhD with Leicester University, based in the LDC in September 2022. My PhD is looking at improving sleep in those living with type 2 diabetes, by using CBTi and reducing sedentary behaviour. Sleep in this population is worse than the general population and improving it could in turn lead to better clinical outcomes and quality of life.
Favourite way to be active
I love body boarding badly when I get the chance, otherwise jogging or walking the dog.
